The general principles
Article I. The provisions of this Code of Ethics is mandatory for all our team of medical professionals, for our directors and, where applicable, for the entire staff of Xetica Argentina.
Article II. Our medical professionals should look after the health of our patients without any discrimination, having respect for human life and human rights. It is their fundamental duty to promote health and physical integrity and morale of our patients. Our physicians, as members of our health team should develop the necessary actions so that our patients feel in a healthy and individual ambient, achieving it through their recognized professional training and by the principles and ethical standards set forth in this Code.
Article III. It is the right and duty to our medical team to follow the principles of this “Decalogue of core values”: 1) Respect the life, dignity and freedom of each of our patients and never seek other purpose than the benefit of their social, mental and physical health. 2) To give our patients all their skills to ensure the best results. 3) Not promote discrimination of any kind (nationality, age, socioeconomic status, race, sex, creed, ideology, etc.). 4) Respect the right of the patient and keep secret all the confidences given. 5) Keep up to date with knowledge that will ensure the best level of competition in its service. 6) Be truthful at all times of their professional work. 7) Value the teamwork with both, his colleagues and with other professionals in their work of service to the health of our patients.
Our Team of Medical Professionals
Article IV. Our doctors are always responsible for giving advice and acts carried out.
Article V. The members of our team should be aware that at every time they will have to decide in relation to two components: the scientific and ethical, basic elements in their formation as human beings.
Article VI. The members of our health team should limit their roles and responsibilities to their respective certificates and the care of our patients has to be qualified by a plan based on scientific principles.
Article VII. Our team of physicians can not delegate to staff not authorized power, functions or duties, which are exclusively of his occupation or business.
Article VIII. Our team of medical professionals must stay current on scientific and technological advances in plastic surgery and aesthetic medicine to provide our patients the best and most advanced treatments.
Article IX. They must respect the religious beliefs of the patients not opposing to their practices, unless this religious precept means an attack to their health, which they are obligated to protect.
Article X. The members of our health team should only use or give products that are quality assured and tested.
Article XI. Being the indication of medication part of the consultation, the members of our health team must defend the freedom of prescription and assume the responsibility of the outcome.
Article XII. The members of our health team should be involved in our Quality Policy, defending the overall objectives and the strategy to achieve them, and monitoring the results and always trying to improve their practice.
The Rights of Our Patients
Article XIII. All our patients have the right for their dignity to be respected and to receive the best care from our medical team for their welfare, both in psychophysics and in socio-cultural way.
Article XIV. The patient has the right to be provided with information that allows him to comprehend his diagnosis, prognosis and therapeutic and preventive cares for his health.
Article XV. The patient has the right that his state of health is kept secret in relation to others.
Article XVI. A physician will respect the freedom of the patient to dispense of their services.
Of the physician – patient relationship
Article XVIII. The members of our medical team should establish a relationship with their patients of loyalty, decency, respect, understanding and tolerance, leading the clinical examination and therapeutic indications within the strictest moral values of human dignity, without discrimination on the cause.
Article XIX. The members of our health team should dedicate to their patients the necessary time to evaluate their request, examine it, indicate the diagnostic stage and explain everything that is relevant.
Article XX. Within the rules governing the doctor-patient relationship, the respect for professional secrecy and confidentiality are of paramount category.
Professional Secrecy
Article XXI. Professional secrecy in health is what is unethical or illegal disclosure without a just cause.
Article XXII. Professional confidentiality is an ethical duty that is born of the very essence of the medical profession and is related to respect the freedom of the patient. The public interest, patient safety, family honor, the respect for the professional and the dignity of medicine, require secrecy.
Article XXIII. Secrecy it so important, that the violation without fare cause is qualified as a crime under the Criminal Code of the Republic of Argentina.
Article XXIV. Our health team has the duty and right to keep secret on all that the patient entrusted him, what he has seen, and on all the documentation produced in their professional practice. It must be so discreet that directly or indirectly nothing should be revealed.
From our duties as a health organization
Article XXV. Our primary objective as a health organization is to ensure that our medical and non-medical professionals work harmoniously to deliver excellent care to our patients, seeking the best benefit and welfare for them.
Article XXVI. All members of Xetica Argentina, and especially our members of the health team, commit to quality management in our practices, based on the principle enunciated by the WHO (World Health Organization) on the right of every human being to achieve “the highest level of health possible to reach”, a principle that should be included in the laws of each country as a legal and ethical responsibility of the state and health organizations.
Article XXVII. We pledge to continue improving our System of Quality Assurance through a series of planned and systematic actions, which are necessary to instill confidence that our services will meet the quality required and that includes all activities designed to ensure that the quality produced meet the needs of our patients.
Article XXVIII. As a health organization we are committed to provide high effectiveness, efficiency and appropriateness in the application of updated knowledge using the appropriate technology.
XXIX. It is our commitment to provide to our medical and non-medical team the best possible working conditions for the proper provision of our services.
XXX. We institute this Code of Ethics as a guiding principle of our actions as a health organization and pledge to comply it and enforce it to all of our medical and non- medical professionals and other staff of Xetica Argentina. |
